greetings to everyone, my wife (Janet) and I (Rick)are considering/evaluating going from zero experience in 5th wheel RV life to full time RV living. Have been doing mass amounts of research, YouTube videos, blogs and other sources.... If you had to choose between a : Montana High country 377FL or a Forest River Cherokee Artic Wolf 3990........... what would you pick and why? any feedback is most welcomed, thanks Rick

I dont have any experience Montana (Keystone, thus Thor) though I did have Thor toy hauler and a Four Winds Class C; both had thier problems but were for the most part acceptable. But my experiences with Forest River would definitely make me look elsewhere.

I don’t want to brand bash or knock anyone’s rig, but after my experiences (one new 2018 FR 30’ TT and shopping the new Dynamax rigs) I couldnt recommend FR. Thor doesnt have the greatest reputation either but Id say they are one rung above FR.

Keystone bills their units as “luxury models” and usually this means they at least try to live up to the meaning of the word and put a little more effort into construction, fit and finish. But really you are the one who has to thoroughly scrutinized the product to determine if it meets your expectations.

Maybe you should go from zero experience to 10% at first? we retired this year and are currently taking short trips, ironing out the issues as we encounter them. It's nice to have an home to come back to while we're working out the mods and repairs we want.
