The controller for the awning is dead. Figured out it has two batteries. The only problem is the controller was mounted too close to the thermostat. The battery holder has to be removed from the controller to install new batteries. I tried to pry the batteries out but was afraid of cracking the controller. It wasn't difficult to relocate the controller a 1/4 inch higher.
