9. For the AV compartment. We went with a Special. Newmar widened the compartment, making room for a larger sound bar. The sound bar in rhe pic is the standard Bose.

10. This coach has the new electronic thermostat control for the Oasis, AC’s and Heat Pumps.

11. The controls for the Girard Nova awnings have been redesigned and are much improved. The pic is of the unit in the coach, but the remote is improved as well.

12. Wireless phone charging pads by driver and passenger seats.

Yes, the new remote is totally different from the tiny thing I had for my 2017.

The new remote for the Nova awnings comes with a magnetic holder you can mount where you choose.

Here is the remote -

The holder is very similar to what is provided for the MCD shade remote.

The remote has a button to turn on the shade lights.

There is a lock button and a separate unlock button.

The large display makes it easy to tell the status of the remote. There are only four symbols -

L for lock
0 for both shades selected
1 for front shade only
2 for rear shade only

I plan to mount my remote in the outside TV compartment using velcro.

I can’t answer that but the shade controllers look the same as the ones in my 17.

Just received this email from Girard concerning the remote control for the awnings:

The remote control is really only different in the way it looks. Are you having an issue with your current remote? Have you tried replacing the battery?

I need to know what type of motor control boxes you are using and how many awnings you want to program to the remote to be sure if it is compatible with your current configuration.

Is the larger basement height noticeable from your point of view?

Yes, but it’s not a biggie. For example, it allows for the larger cooler in the cooler bay. It’s more noticeable on the driver’s side where the bays were particularly short on the prior model.

I have a water softener that I could not store on the roadside before without laying it on it’s side and now it fits upright.

I did find the additional height to be nice as the bins now pass under frame rail with about 2” clearance. Same bin used on 2017 and had to remove lid for them to clear.
