Good morning! We just picked up our first Barth. Its an '89 Regal 28'. No details on the exact model yet.

It is in great structural condition however, It had apparently developed a roof leak and has lost its OG ceiling and most of the upper cabinets. The pervious owner started to rebuild it but not up to my standards. Will be doing a resto mod on this one for that reason.

For now, we are cleaning her up and using it as a guest house/spare bedroom till we decide weather to fuel inject the 460 that only has 50k miles or to swap with a 4 or 6 Cummins and make it a hybrid style power plant like a super modern sprinter.

I love the style and quality of these. We have considered a post modern/lounge-like interior may honor it best, saving what we have of the dark brown cabinetry. Still looking for inspiration on the design.

Outside, the paint is pretty good and somehow, all the glass is in tact. It is faded in some areas and unfortunately, the last guy backed it into something not knowing he had no parking break and messed up the rear bumper a bit(It had all 4 end caps up until that point . Will attempt to match the faded spots but we may end up stripping the paint and going the polish route or adding a splash of color. Open to people sending suggestions on interior/exterior.

I have a lot of RV and mechanical experience. I dont half-ass anything unless its a temporary fix/emergency. So, she's in good hands and I hope to have her back on the road safely and fully restored in a couple years.

Thank you for any help and suggestions.

Looking for: Bumper end cap or reproduction, paint codes for '89, source for replacment latches if mine fail(All working rn).

Thank you,

Timothy and Nicole
