Oasis - joining the club

For many years I’ve just been reading about pump failures others have had on their Oasis units. Sure I carry quite a few spare parts but not a pump for the Oasis.

Our coach is now 11 years old and we have owned it for 6 years of that time. For its first 5 years it was used 6 months of the year by a couple when they wintered in Florida. We full timed in it for 3 years and part time use for the other 3 years.
Despite all that use, the pumps are the originals. This last short trip I heard the dreaded noise start from zone 2 pump when heat for that zone 2 was called for. Sigh…

So this week I get to read up on best practices for replacing the pump and will replace all the boiler fluid too, which has been trying more towards brown.

Yeah, I went about 6 years I think before my first pump failure. Can't remember. Then several happened within short time of each other. More on the education of the coach, good stuff to learn but it's just part of the game and spares kit is critical. I keep two spares.

I wouldn’t replace the transfer fluid just because it is turning brown. Check the pH level. That will tell you whether it needs to be replaced.
