I'm trying to prevent my steps from staying extended when I lock it up (salesman switches off). I've tried every imaginable combination and I can't get them to retract.

Suggestions?
 
First thing I would do is see if there is battery power at the motor with w/ignition off. Does it work normally with the key on? Not sure what all the symptoms are.
