So far we have only dry camped, as we are mostly involved in off road motorcycling. This past Thursday we left Phoenix with the generator running to power the house AC, ran fine.
Once camped out we had a hard time getting the generator to start, and once up and running it would eventually die just charging the batteries. Headed home Sunday afternoon started generator and it ran for the 4 hour trip home without a hiccup. Any ideas?
Also the camper has a residential refrigerator which runs off an inverter/solar. I noticed something seems to run non stop, maybe some fans they put in for the fridge? Still learning the systems

My gasser had the generator fuel pickup 1/4 tank from the bottom. Is that the problem???

The inverter fan when In warm conditions could run all the time! Highly unlikely there are fans for the fridge.

thanks Kevin. D for responding. I have come to believe that the generator may be ok? The f550 chassis has two fuel tanks. I believe, though haven’t proven it out yet, that while in motion the tanks equalize? Perhaps up on the jacks they don’t? I will make sure the tanks are closer to full on my next outing to see if that makes a differenc.
and the sound of something running all the time, my audio system for the outdoor tv. It was on and producing a sort of white noise. Which could draw down the batteries over time?
My next project, quiet down the water pump… sounds like it’s mounted to a snare drum🤔. Haven’t found the pump yet.
