Onan hour meter not working

My hour meter reads the same as when I bought the RV 10 months ago. It took a while to notice. I want to change the meter but can’t see how to remove it. It appears the panel may be glued on.

it appears the hour meter is wired into the remote control connector wires. You may need to remove fasteners to the entire control panel to see how the meter is attached.

here is a wiring diagram i was able to find. attached image.
