I just drove across country from SC to AZ and I can't believe the amount of new and used inventory on dealer lots. I mention this because I see that the prices are really not coming down all that much. I understand that the cost of materials and labor have gone up; so new units are going to have a high price tag. But what about all these used units just sitting there? Does anyone think that these prices will come down soon? I remember during covid that there was no inventory out there. People paid a premium to purchase an RV. Are these the units up for sale now and folks are just trying to get back there investment? I would really like to buy something, but I don't feel that I should have to pay for others mistakes.Any thoughts?

Just because there is a price listed does not mean you must pay it. I purchased a used (2019) Motorhome. Obviously built pre COVID but the previous owner was a COVID camper. It was hardly used but not very well cared for. Nothin seriously wrong just no maintenance or upkeep for four years so lots of little things that were very easy for me to correct. I made an offer and made sure that I mentioned that there was a lot of inventory out there. It was accepted and I got a good deal. Do your homework and find a unit that fits your needs, Have it professionally inspected and make a fair offer. All that can happen is they say no. You may have to negotiate a bit but dealers (and private sellers) don't want a lot of inventory going no where.

The last six months nothing has been selling in the real estate market. Lately I have been watching rigs, 700k and up and they seem to be still moving. Its the lower end unit that are on the lots.
