Things to check:
1) Inspect the roof top. The sealant tape that runs across front seam of leading edge on roof is severely oxidized and failing on ours. The tape has cracks (1/16 inch openings) where it goes over the screw heads. Water pooling on top enters cracks and weeps into camper. (Fix in process)
2) Check the wheel hubs are properly greased before pulling off the lot. One of four required additional grease to be packed. (Fixed)
3) Check the front window is seal (direct spray at window frame with garden hose) to determine if leaking. Our brand-new (never used) OVR-X has a leak somewhere there as well. (Fix in process)
4) Check the vinyl veneer on cabinets, ours are delaminating in multiple places. (Fix in process)
5) Check the fans open and close fully when electrically powered. Front fan was “overly-goobered”, had to trim the excessive amount of sealant so mating surfaces closed together. (Fixed)
6) Check lock/latches are installed properly (lock-nuts tightened correctly) on all the exterior storage hatch doors. Had one that was about to fall off/out (vibrated loose) after our first road trip. All but one lock-nut were just “finger-tightened”. (Fixed)
Remember… it’s a camper.
