i have a 2016 Cougar Lite that is painted and the paint is oxidized, i buffed it with a buffing wheel with meguiers oxidation remover then waxed it with Meguiers #2 and it came out blotchy, i am a retired Bodyshop person and i have buffed and waxed a lot of cars and never had a problem like this, does anyone know how to get the shine back that it had when it was new

Is it actually painted or is it a gel coat. Either way, I have had good luck with Wizards Mystic Cut compound and a wool pad. It’s a water based product and cleans up very easy.

When you Kant get the shine back it’s usually the jell coal or clear coat is gone.

What I have done in these cases is us Zep High Traffic Floor finish putting it on with a clean micro fiber cloth in a back and forth movement. Looks like a new clear coat. I’ve done this for years. I used it on my previous MH, TT, and my plane.
