We are looking to upgrade our cell/Wi-Fi capabilities but think we might should wait because of 5g.

Do y'all have some insight on advanced 5G routers.

Couple of sites which should give you some insights; Mobile Internet Resource Center & the Peplink forum. The latter has some interesting posts associated with 5G with their equipment. You did not indicate your current equipment that you are considering for upgrade, but, we have been using a Peplink Max Transit CAT-18 for over a year. Have been very pleased with it.
Regardless of what, or if, you decide to go with, make sure your cellular data plans will work with the equipment. Sometimes, establishing cellular connections with new equipment can be very frustrating & sometimes it's seamless.

Currently we have a WiFi Camp Pro 2 for wifi, not really that impressed with it. A verizon MiFi device with antenna and a SureCall cell booster.

I travel for business a lot so being connected is important.

Looking at Pepwave MAX BR1 5G and a Parsec Husky Pro 7.

I broke my old phone several months ago and bought a 5G Samsung phone. I realize 5G is in it's infancy but in certain places the speed has been awesome. The percentage of time I am in 5G coverage has increased almost monthly.

Currently with Verizon on a 5G Unlimited plan (that has limits) and do not plan on changing right now.
