For the Pickleballers in the crowd, if you've RV'd to a destination that has good Pickleball play, at least 4 (should be 8) courts, list the locations for others to learn from. Also know is there is a club, league, ladder/competitive play, etc. From my travels to date:
  • Palm Creek, Casa Grande, AZ - 32 courts, structured play (round robin, ladder, etc.)
  • I think @ARD and I played in Ruidoso but I can't remember the details, but a good number of courts but temp net setup
  • Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort: Fair number of courts (8?) on the campground with good play but casual. Palmetto Dunes in town has a tennis/PB center with lessons, camps, leagues, ladder play

Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort in Naples Florida has 6 new courts. On Thursday afternoon there is a round robin tournament. Each morning the courts are setup where you can put your paddle in the bin for playing with beginners, intermediate, or the very good players (I’m still very much in the beginner category).

For the serious players, the Easy Naples Community Park is 8 miles away and has 64 courts!

My wife and I have been traveling for 6 months a year in the last 3 years looking for good combination pickleball and camping. So far it has been primarily on the east coast. It’s pretty easy to find good pickleball and it’s pretty easy to find good rv resorts but harder to find both. Of course, good pickleball and/or good camping can be pretty subjective.
We currently are in Punta Gorda, Fl staying at Waters Edge RV Resort and are primarily playing at Pickleplex. The pickleball is great, the camping is less then ideal. From here we have also played at Gilcrist Park and the Englewood Sports Complex. All good but Pickleplex is the crown jewel.
In November we were in Webster, Fl at Oak Alley RV Resort. New resort with 12 beautiful courts. I believe that the pickleball will continually get better as more players catch on to it. From there you can run over to Pear Park for a higher level fix or to Winter Garden for a different feel.
I could go on for quite a while with this post as we have now played at 47 different venues but I’m out of time. Good luck in your search. We need an app for this combination.

The Tides and The Surf in Palmetto Fl have them.

Surf is new and they have more courts.

Tides is a couple years old and the didn’t put in quite as many.
