Hopefully someone can tell me if this will work. I purchased the standard kit.
I plan on installing it at my home and getting rid of dish.
When we travel in our rv I would remove it and set it up at our boondocking sites.
I will purchase the home service plan so the ability to pause service will not be an issue.
Is this going to work for me?
Thank you for your support.

You will have to change to the roam plan when you move locations. The rate will increase accordingly.

When you return home you can change back to residential, assuming it’s available and not in surge. If it’s in surge you may pay a fee accordingly.

This fee can be as high as $2500, but in most cases it’s $500.

You will have the option of remaining on roam year round, or buying a 2nd dish for roam and keeping your residential service.

It really depends on how frequently you travel and the duration of trips.

I personally have 2 roam plans. One is the high performance on the motorhome and the other is a mini in a box with a battery for all other needs.

Thanks, we travel 4-5 months a year in our rv with most spots having no cell service. Is using it more cost effective to use the home unit for traveling and home or are there better options for us?

it depends if you are in an area at risk for surge.

A good way to know is to see if your address qualifies for residential lite plan.

If it qualifies, then you can safely switch to the roam and reasonably expect to be able to switch back to residential without a surge fee.
