Doesn't matter if it's an RV park, or State Park. I love to walk around in the mornings and look at campsites and campers enjoying life, and some of the views have been amazing right from our lawn chairs.

Sunrise at Bluewater Key, site 50 IIRC.

Not necessary our "favorite" campground, but it's the one we are at today. We’ve been working like dogs on a rental that took some abuse, OK, it took a lot of abuse. And today we loaded up the Phaeton and headed over to Lake Lanier for a week. We like to go on Sunday as that leaves the rest of the park virtually empty until the following Thursday when people start filling back in.

Our site was a new one for us, and boy is it a beauty! I’d say it’s 200’ deep and 150’ wide. Nice grass everywhere and it backs up to the lake. Very nice place.

We got something to eat at the Coastal Breeze, which was the first time we ate at a sit-down restaurant in at least 2 months. Trish is looking forward to some shopping and I’m looking forward to some time to fly the drone and just sit back and do nothing.

Hands down my favorite so far has been Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Jupiter, FL. The site was plenty nice but it’s the plethora of things to do there that made me love it so much. We had a blast there and are thinking about making it our winter spot this year.

During my first year of RVing, I decided to go to Lajitas, Texas. It was a harrowing drive for a wee beginner....25 mph winds, a semi in front of me had a tire blow out at the same time my TPMS alarm was going off on multiple tires and then traveling on the most desolate and remote parts of Texas which included a 20% grade "hill." My legs were shaking when I finally got to Maverick Ranch RV Park and I was sweating in the 104 degree heat. I didn't get the memo that May was offseason. As soon as I got there, I wanted to leave BUT I stayed. And it will forever be my most favorite campground. It's not what most people would consider a beautiful CG, but the beauty is there nevertheless. If you let it, the area will transform you. OH, and most importantly they had my tequila at the Thirsty Goat Saloon located at the Lajitas Resort. ?

OH and for some local flavor....you have to go to Terlingua. After eating at The Starlight Theatre, I hung out for 2 hours on the porch listening to music. The musicians came and went. At one time there was a violinst and 2 men on the bass. Unforgettable. Here is a little peek:

McKinney Campground, COE Park at Allatoona Lake. We spent many years going there with our kids, then our grandkids and other family. Our son now lives close and when visiting we still look there first for a place to park. Space 87 was always our go to spot.

Since we are full time we have been to many places we have enjoyed but none with as many memories.
