Possible mod

I have been thinking about moving my fresh filter inside my water bay. Normally, I attach the regulator to the city water spigot, then the filter and then the drinking water hose to the RV. I’m considering changing to spigot, regulator, then hose with the filter actually attached to the rv city water inlet.

Any problem with this I’m missing?

I have had a problem by putting my regulator after the in line hose filter. The regulator got calcium deposits and quit working.
I know this is not what you are asking. But it has been an issue with me.
Other than that, I don't see an issue. Hopefully someone has done what you want to do and will chime in.

I do as you. Try to keep my hose as clean as possible.

My trailer doesn't have a water bay so this may not apply to you but I like to put the filter at the spigot end of the hose so its weight isn't hanging off the hose connection on my trailer.
