Hello my 2003 keystone Laredo keeps knocking out the power at the pole at my campground, the owner fixed it twice, after he fixes it it's good for about 8 hours, is my converter going bad?

Hard to say if the converter is the problem or not. Could be the electric element in the water heater too. How does the owner 'fix' the issue? reset the breaker? Do that yourself. Just shut off the breaker and push it to the off position, then back on. Is your trailer a 30A? What all are you trying to run in it?

I also checked and my batteries were not hooked up, so I hooked them up hopefully nothing goes wrong tonight

Sounds like all the problem was not with your trailer. The fan may be from the converter heating up trying to charge your batteries. See what happens in the morning.

If you don't have a surge protector on you hook up you should immediately purchase one and get it hooked up.

I double the vote on a surge protector. It should be a must have. Also I find having a temperature gun (I don’t know what they’re called) are awesome to make sure nothing is overheating in your panel or anywhere else. It’s a handy way to find out which breaker is warm so you can track it to the root of the problem.
