If the power company's are telling us to unplug cell phone chargers and misc. small devices to save money on our bill. How much am I spending leaving my Class A plugged in when stored in my garage for months on end ? Battery charging, inverter and any thing else .
thanks

Time to wake up!!! Standard USB wall worts charge at:

The amount of power a USB port can provide depends on the USB specification and the type of USB port:

  • USB 2.0: Provides up to 2.5 watts of power at 5 volts and 500 milliamps (mA)
  • USB 3.0: Provides up to 4.5 watts of power at 5 volts and 900 mA

  • USB-C: Supports up to 100 watts and 20 volts
    • USB Power Delivery (USB-PD): A newer specification that can provide up to 100 watts of power

    • USB-C Type 2.1: Increases the power capacity of cables and connectors from 100 watts to 240 watts
Most devices attached to a computer's USB port only draw out 0.1A of power. USB ports also draw a small amount of power when they're not in use, called phantom power, which is about 0.05 watts

Here are some things to consider when choosing a USB port:
  • 1A ports: Suitable for mobile phones, but not tablets
  • 2A ports: Recommended to ensure you can charge a range of devices
  • High-powered ports: 2.4A to 5A ports charge devices quicker
When you start to realize these people are just seeing how brainwashed the public is, you can get on with your life, and look for things that will make a difference!

Hope that's not to harsh.
