PowerSled: Mobile Power Platform for Commercial Deployment
Temporary power should be as mobile as the work it supports. PowerSled brings together towable deployment, onboard energy storage, solar integration, and TrekDrive™ propulsion in one platform designed for real operating environments, from job sites and utilities to public works and emergency...
From the beginning of the LightShip AE.1 towable RV it has been my believe this was just one of many applications that would spring from an all electric towable trailer. LightShip just announced PowerSled. PowerSled is essentially a bare LightShip AE.1 chassis with a slightly bigger battery. This application will find its way into many construction trades where high amounts of remote power are needed along with the ability to haul thousands of pounds of equipment along with the power source. All of this is good news for the RV application because the chassis will be refined with new technology that will apply to whatever RV cabin is mounted on the chassis.
The first application is to use PowerSled as a commercial aerial drone tender. Landing pad and recharge station all on one platform.
