Didn't really want to start a thread but cant find it mentioned in any threads.
I have my first diesel pusher, and frequently drive a F350 diesel pulling disaster relief equipment around the US.
Looking for fuel saving options. Already got Loves and Open Roads and was checking into the Prime Advantage Card.
Does anyone use this? I started the app online but stopped and deleted it when it asked for DOT number, which I do not have. This morning I got a call from "Robin" with Comdata. She said I can complete the app without a DOT # and told me how to do it. Then sent a link in an email. Is it normal to get a call like that? Can anyone confirm Comdata is the card company for Prime Advantage?

One caveat I've always heard is never use a link.

I use the Mud Flap app. If you haven't looked in to it please do. It saves me a lot

Depends...but IMO, if someone calls you back like that, that shows they are aggressive in their sales/customer care/service. That can be a good thing or a bad thing of course.

There can be an autosave in any postings/forms being filled out. For example, facebook is very orwellian in their treatment of humans, so they autosave every 30 seconds or something like that. So when you actually hit post (or whatever it is), they have the final version....but all the other versions/changes that took place. And even if you don't hit the post button, I'm sure they still have a copy of all you did before you left. And of course they'll keep it and stick it in your personal file, just like g**gle. It'll contain all pictures of you, etc. you truly are their product.

I'd research something before hand, then decide how much information I want to give them if it's something I want to do. In the 90s I learned just how vulnerable a person can be on the internet when using it. And now w/all the constant data harvesting across platforms/forums, it's something we should keep in mind.

Amazon example--I could have saved over $100 in shipping this year they tell me if I sign up for prime. 100 bucks isn't worth it to me to give whatever more data on me they want. They always ask for my phone number too. Nah. Not worth it to me. So what is something worth to you?
