Might not be the best place for this discussion but I trust the opinions I’ve read on this forum even beyond RV ing.

My wife and I are prime time tv fanatics. (Please don’t judge us 😉). We used to have Youtubetv but as we travel extensively they kept dropping us when we were away from base. We don’t have a house and are only at our base twice a year for about 2 weeks. We have DIRECTV. I have wanted to drop DIRECTV for a while but kept them, solely, for the DVR. We have Paramount and Peacock plus Hulu, Netflix and Prime. Now Fox is releasing a streaming app.

I will be in a position to stream everything aired even if it may be 1 day delay. Still the problem of not knowing what is on and when. I can save about $80.00 a month but am “hooked” to the DVR for knowing what is on when.

Wondering if anyone has a realistic suggestion for this.

We cut the cord a couple years ago and went with a streaming IPTV box powered by a Visible phone through a travel router. So far, it's worked well for us, streaming everything we could ever want. The IPTV box streams about 1800 channels (Fox, NBC, ABC, PBS, CW, HBO, TCM, CNN etc) plus more than 5000 on demand TV shows and movies. It also includes many sports channels like NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, Nascar, ESPN and Sky sports and movie channels from the UK. The only subscription we kept was Prime, but that's more for free shipping.

We use a Visible phone with a travel router also, but not the superbox,... yet. Been thinking about getting one, but so far with youtube tv, netflix, and prime, we have enough to keep the wife happy.

Look into the vSee instead. I have several of both SuperBox and vSeebox, and imho, the vSee is the better of the two. (I own stock in neither)

Edit: I actually just bought an outdoor TV for the pavilion and a vSee Elite to drag in the sports channels. I don't know if the vSee will fit @Russellvh needs, but for us, it works fine.

That's a lot of redundancy, but that's part and parcel of how the streaming services function. They originally program maybe one or two high profile marginally decent shows and the rest is mundane filler. CBSSN for example aired one WNBA Indiana Fever game this past week. In order to watch it you had to sign on to their subscription streaming app. They won't feature another Fever game in the forseeable future or likely ever, but you can catch the Mobile, Ala. Sandcrabs playing the Portland Maine Snowthrowers for the North American Professional Badminton World Championship.

I subscribed to CUE Broadcast a year ago during the Newmar International Rally in Pueblo. We can stream via our AT&T Hotspot or our Gen 3 Starlink and watch on a TV, computer, or phone. We appreciate that we can watch our local news from anywhere—$ 59.99 monthly with no contract.

We dropped our Dish for our coach and bricks and mortar(B&M) close to 10 years ago. We use ROKUs (3) in our coach and (5) in B&M. For paid subscriptions we have; Youtube TV. We have never been dropped. Occasionally will ask if we are traveling. Philo, Prime, Netflix,Hulu (these two provided free with T-Mobil). Freebies we have ROKU channel, Pluto and TUBI. Up until very recently we streamed through our phone unlimited data. Recently switched to StarLink.
