Progressive Insurance. Anyone get a large increase this year. Just got renewal notice - ~ $150 increase on a gasser.

We got a small one, nothing to write home about.

We have had them for the car/truck and motorcycle for awhile, no real increase. Just switched the RV to them last month so I can't help you.

Had them for many years as they are affiliated with USAA when it comes to rv insurance. It seems as though they will go several years with small increases each year and then a big increase pops up. Who the heck knows how insurance rates work!!?

I just got a new quote through another broker. Seems Progressive is a major player in the full timers market. Lower deductibles with lower liability and a few other coverages that I don't have now is about the same money for both my trailer and truck. So far only one claim that cost me the deductible (even though another party at fault with no insurance) Progressive has been good to me.

Progressive is treating me well, but I am sure they will raise my rates when I renew. I'm in the process of replacing my windshield (not done yet) and since my rig is 13 years old, they have to create the glass in Indiana, then send to a nearby company (1.5 hours away) in Bossier City to do the fine cutting and installation. Progressive is paying $4k for the windshield (minus my deductible) and also covering my hotel and rental costs - which is very helpful . The first windshield that arrived was the wrong one (not P's fault) and since I had already gotten my hotel and rental car, Progressive reimbursed me the same day I turned in the receipts. I figure when my rates are increased, I'm still ahead of the game. I will stick with them.

I just changed over to USAA last year. However, they would not insure my motorhome, so had to go through National General for rates better than prior insurer.

They just said that USSA does not insure motor homes. No specific reason given.

Sorry - had to edit post as it was madecnonsense. Love autocorrec!

In Massachusetts, for some reason, it's difficult to get a motorhome insured. No idea why. Good Sam, the company they use, has nobody who will insure one in MA. We have Geico for our autos, they wouldn't do my RV. I tried AAA, and my own insurance agent. Had no choice but to go with Progressive. Thinking back on it, I think we went through the same thing with our travel trailer years ago.

If you decide at some point to go with Progressive, USAA will still show the Progressive information (policy info, coverages, deductibles) in the Insurance Tab of your USAA home page. It will also redirect you to the Progressive policy if you click the information link on the right side of the page.

I actually saw a reduction in my RV coverage through Progressive during the Pandemic in year 2020 and it's remained that way into 2021. I also recently dropped Hartford on my autos and went with Progressive which is saving me nearly $350.00 a year now. Lastly I put my Golf Cart on Progressive since they offer what I feel is a very reasonable annual rate given my selected coverages. So far so good in my case.

My new Progressive policy through USAA is $1280 a year. I go with a $1000 deductible, full glass coverage, Roadside and way more liability than the law requires. A big Class A gasser will do a lot of damage to a new Mercedes or a new BMW.

You got a much better deal.

Some people are telling me they pay ~$500 a year for full coverage. That has to be the bare minimum. I also have uninsured motorist. I was in two accidents 5 months apart, the only two accidents I have ever been in, both accidents the other party's fault, both accidents totaled my vehicle and the second accident involved a guy that was pretty sketchy. He must have had a warrant because they cuffed him and put him in the back seat. I would rather they bleed me a little bit every month instead of getting in an accident and ending up with nothing.
