Want to purchase a generator and thinking about propane generator. Anyone here got any experience and advice (positive or negative)
regarding propane powered generators?
Any advice will be appreciated.

IMHO and having Had RVs with gas, diesel, and propane generators, I have found pros and cons of all 3. Propane would be my choice if the generator would not be used often. I currently have a propane backup generator on my house. I don't have to worry about it starting no matter how long it has set. Gasoline generators are a maintenance headache if they are only used a few times a year. The biggest drawback to traveling with a propane generator is fuel transport. A 20# cylinder carries about 4 gallons of LPG with considerably less energy than gasoline. I had a 6.5KW on a fifth wheel. It went thru 2 30# cylinders in less than a day running 2 ACs, a refueling headache. Watch the manufacturer's derating of operating dual fuel or propane conversions and make sure you have plenty of capacity to start everything. Only generators I have had refuse to start were gassoline, and that was due to sitting fo over 60 days. That said, I currently have a 7.2KW power supply on my pickup, so I think I have now tried everything.

What's your budget? It's all depends on your budget. I'd personally suggest you choose this most powerful Pulsar G12KBN-SG propane generator. It offers up to 10,000 watts for plenty of your tools and appliances, as well as a long runtime on both gas and propane.
