Propane Quick Connect

Not sure where this should go on the forum. Mods please move if not in the correct area.

My 2024 27QB has a propane quick connect on the "fun side" of the rig. I've hooked up a couple of propane devices to test the connection (a grill and a griddle). I can get them to light but very little to no flame is visible. In time they will heat up but it's very slow compared to a directly connected cylinder.

What am I doing wrong? Did I miss something or is this working as designed....low pressure LPG maybe.

What if anything can be done to correct the issue?

Are you waiting for the line to purge all the air out of the hose?
Is there a stand alone regulator for the quick connect?
A picture may help us troubleshoot

Main propane tank. It's full. The knob is open, all the way to the left. Stove inside the coach works.


Exterior quick connect. <20' from the tank.

No visible regulator under the coach near to quick connect.

I'm not familiar with horizontal tanks, mine were all vertical portable tanks, what's behind the black cover?

I believe all propane to RVs is regulated. So if there's a regulator on your grill or griddle, it's being double regulated. See how it works if you go directly to the device.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Ordered one of these to eliminate the stock connection with the regulator.
