I almost always use truck stop DEF but with being in storage more than I care to be and with my last trip out after a long time in storage I bought boxed DEF. It's not the most joyous or speedy experience to hold boxed DEF while it slowly fills. What would help is a super complex, highly engineered, L shape angle bracket mounted to the DEF door or a swiveled option that folds out mounted to the inner frame that you can rest the DEF box on that is properly, with PhD engineering approval, angled down in the pour position.

A simple mod that can make boxed DEF pouring easier.

Sounds like you could benefit from a little gym time. :D

Here you go......

I put a box of DEF into my truck yesterday...76-years old, and I stood there holding the box every bit of the 2 minutes it took to pour it into the tank. If it's not aligned right it can take a lot longer, but just be sure that "breather" hole is always up from where you're pouring.

Mine took more like 5 minutes. However, I'll remind people as I did the President of Newmar at the 2023 Hoots rally, some people that are RVing it's amazing they are even walking. A couple, hunched over, barely walking, I offered to help them through the food line holding their plate for them. As I was trying to show Casey Tubman how nice it is to control dump valves from within the coach, I told him they are the perfect example. Can you imagine them hunching over under the slide to manage tanks? They may not get back up! So imagine them also managing a box of DEF. Not all of us RVers are Hans & Franz types and some are RVing into years we can only hope to do ourselves. So these mods...keep an open mind to the users it could help. Yes, I could use some time with weights myself, for sure.
