Our Whirlpool Refrigerator is 10 years old with several things wrong with it. We have decided to replace it. Would really appreciate info from anyone who has attempted this tough process. Are the bolts holding it to the floor hard to get to? Will it go out through the bedroom window? How many hands needed…Etc, etc. It sure doesn’t look like it will fit out the front door and I refuse to consider removing the windshield.

I don't know about your model/year, but for some, the windshield is the only option.

On ours, the only other window large enough (I think) is the dining window. The unit itself is easy to remove. 2 small screws on the floor accessible by opening the freezer slightly, and a couple brackets that are glued to the top of the fridge and screwed to a wood brace. If I remember correctly, you will need to remove the small piece of wood trim above the fridge to get to the backet screws. The reason I know this is on one trip, the two floor screws broke off along with the "glue" that Newmar used on the top of the unit, and the fridge started to walk out of it's space. The wife went back and pushed against it to keep it in and I stopped at a rest area to do some on the fly repairs. I dread the day ours decides to give up.

I replaced the original residential in my Baystar myself with a 10.1" cu, which I think was the same size or very close. It went right in through the door, didn't even have to remove anything.

i helped my brother put his residential in his 2010 DS. We put it in through the driver side window. Doors were removed, not a bad job.
