So we moved to a sub division that we can't leave the camper at home, so storage is what is nessary, how meany others are victims of the HOA police, yes I knew this when we bought the house but not sure if the camper is going to be used more than five years, it's a 2017 and paid in full. Storage is 500.00 a year.boat included.

What exactly is your question?

We pay $500 a year for storage, which seems reasonable to me. Not in an HOA but our driveway is too short for the trailer.

My wife's parents can fit their trailer on their driveway but they only do so during the summer then they put it in the storage lot for winter.

I had a sweetheart deal at a neighboring HOA for $60/month for almost 20 years. Last year a new HOA board took over and jacked my rental rate to $180/month. Seeing others having to pay $500/month makes my deal look better than I thought!

Pretty sure we said we're paying $500 a year. $500 a month would have me looking to move.

I was curious how meany pay for storage, not really a question, I see a lot of people do,storage lots are usually full of stuff.
My goal is to eventually live on an acreage. If I have a shop that the truck and trailer fit in, so much the better.

Thats what I have ..2 acres..4 metal buildings for RV, 3 boats ,3 Corvettes and a workshop.. and still too much grass to mow 😄

I have bought industrial condos in the past to store my toys and mh. When I sell I always got every dime back plus profit. I currently own one and rent it out because I bought in a great rv community and my house has an rv garage.
If you have the funds its an option.

We store ours for 2 reasons. 1. It is 41' long and crosses the sidewalk and 2. I do not like to have it in the drive as it blocks the view when backing out of the drive. We rent a space in a building for $86/month which includes fulltime access and power to keep Energy Management System running for the batteries. $500 per year sounds real reasonable to me.

And, they'll line their pockets with Your money.

HOAs are no different than small town politics. Hire roofers; they rake back 10%. Need community streets repaved, yep, they'll rake back 10%. I think the best one they use is "special assessments," which they will tell you is needed above the normal monthly dues, to resurface the tennis courts that only the board member clicks use, or the pool needs to be acid-washed. These examples come from my brother who has lived with HOAs for the past 20 + years.

To the topic at hand, I'm lucky to have room in my driveway to park and store my 36 ft motorhome, with space in front of it to park my tow dolly.

Agree completely..Heard the horror stories from friends..Not fallin for the HOA schemes..I do as i please on my own land..HOA is basically year round Timeshares.
