Maybe you should read your post about all the things you own and ask yourself if that just might be bragging a bit..I did Not attack those living in HOA , ONLY the out of control egomaniacs that run them..i know great people who just live in them.. i just wouldnt live anywhere I had to ask a board to approve me painting my shutters green. Lets move on , shall we?
Maybe, before slamming HOAs you should understand the benefits of living in one, not the few issues you may encounter.
When you own in an HOA, most come with amenities, those are the amenities. I see that you did not read where I stated I "part own".
So you may take that as bragging because when you do not live in one and do not share those costs, you would not have the access that one that owns in an HOA has.
Sure, we can move on once you read what I actually had posted.
Now back to the thread. When people buy in an HOA/COA they are handed the CCRs and Bylaws of the community along with the architectural rules.
I always read and study them. I knew the last place I lived you could only have an rv parked outside to load or unload for 24 hrs. So I found an indoor storage facility until I could find a better solution.
When I bought here, we have everything from rv spots to homes with rv garages.
I read the rules for the homes and it stated that you could only leave an RV outside for 72 hrs unless you had guests staying in it. That was acceptable to me.
I also read that the one section was the only area that you could ride a motorcycle into. I chose that area as I ride.
Another buyer took a different route, he bought where he knowingly cannot ride and constantly complains. Who's fault is that? His or the HOAs? Clearly his as he knew going in.
Having lived outside of HOAs my whole life, I have learned not all are bad. Its usually those that did not do their research or thinking they are special and can ignore the rules complaining.
