In today's environment it has become very difficult to avoid Internet Thieves or Scammers.

The following video explains some simple checks to some very sophisticated checks to verify an email.

Granted some or most bogus email are obvious and can be rejected out of hand.

My basic rule is: if I am not expecting the email based on conversations, agreements, or actions (purchases), Delete.

However, sometimes you might get an email that could be the result of some potential activity. So here are some ways to check if its legit.

Warning, the first few checks are easy but as the video progresses it goes deep into the tech weeds...if you like tech you should watch it all

Shame. We are getting to the place where mom and pop need to be it folks to stay safe.
