Rates tripled for full-time RV residents in less than a year

RV sales have slowed (finally) and fewer people are buying RVs than has been the recent trend. Has that changed campground crowding? Is it easier to find

My cross country trip this fall will be interesting. Probbly around 6500 miles (Ca to NH and back) over two months with stops in Nappanee and Moscow Ia. Also probably dip south to Memphis and take a southern route home since we will be coming back in November. I’ll use my regular approach to finding reasonable CGs and I’m cautiously optimistic that it will still work.

Then we will spend a couple months at our winter desert base camp, Fountain of Youth Spa RV Resort, which has wonderful weather, is still under $800/mo, and loaded with amenities, activities, and excellent desert access.

But I’ve already noticed price spikes as most other have too, KOAs are now usually a bit more than I think they’re worth (to me), and I may rely more heavily on HH than I have in the past - avoiding two nights at average RV parks more than pays for a whole year.
