I had issues with small engines in the past. Follow @Kevin D Pem steps, but play close attention to the carb. When they sit for sometime the jets, passages will get clogged. I had to use a fine wire to free the clog. Ran fine after that.

Sorry for bringing up an old post!

Well not really! I don't mind getting hands drenched in some things they should not be in, but we were talking about carburetors that could be used. Well I watch some pretty crazy stuff.

The issues encountered in mods, are covered in this video, thought there may be others that would be entertained by this.

It’s been a few years since I originally pulled the carburetor , and remember messing with it. I’ll try again!
 
Grant may be able to help you with a carb. He mainly deals with automotive carbs but has done all kinds. I know he has built and shipped them all over the country. I know him have not seen him in years, good man.
