I have a 2015 Thor Tuscany (new to me) and its the first RV I have owned that the refrigerator does not run when I am driving. Is this common?
 
Residential refrigerator??? The inverter needs to be turned on for it to work.
 
The former owner replaced the original fridge with what seems to be a residential model. If it is hooked to Shore power when parked or the Onan10K generator is running it works fine but when driving its dead
 
As i said. Make sure inverter is on. Installing a residential refer requires usually a 2800 w inverter and 6 house batteries in every coach i have owned
 
I run my generator to power the a/c and fridge when I’m driving. No issues And it only uses about 1/4 to 1/2 gallon of gas per hour.

Even if the inverter is on, it won't help unless the refrigerator is plugged into an outlet that is on the inverter circuit.
