If I remember correctly from our 14 Forester they are held in place with clips on the top. Should be able to reach up and feel them. The spring clips are screwed either to the wall or the surrounding window treatment covers.

The clips hook into the top bar of the shade mechanism and they can be popped off by finessing those spring clips to loosen.

They may be hard to see with the treatments around the windows.

Pics would be good if the above doesn’t help.

Hey Dennis,

Many thanks! I kept looking at the various screws holding the valance and the shade frames and couldn't figure out how or what to unscrew first!

Once I looked at and saw the clips you mentioned it was pretty simple and I was able to adjust the shade w/ no problem. It is easier w/ two people due to the length of that particular shade and, yeah, a certain amount of finesse to get them back into the clip grooves is needed, but it's not that difficult.

Again, thank you Sir!
