Removing trail rash, aka: Tree branch scratches

What is a good product and/or method for removing the scratches and scuffs on the side of a motorhome from low hanging tree branches?

There are a multitude of new products on the market and I admittedly have not kept up with them. I’m looking for something as simple as possible.

One product that I’ve been paying attention to is Griot’s Garage ceramic all-in-one product.

On ceramics, to properly apply it is a very involved process, enough so that I wont bother.

I use a variable speed buffer with the 3m products (and the proper pad for each product) pictured below and get very satisfactory results, but this is also an involved process and requires some training to get it right and keep from making things worse.

I dont know of a single off-the-shelf product that will provide acceptable results. If someone else does, I’ll try it.

Griots makes great products but it’s best if you use a polisher and there are many good brands of polishers out there. I use menzerna 3 in one polish with either a flex or rupes polisher. I have used this griot product and it is very good.

Some scratches are hard to get out with a product unless you go to deep compound and that involves multiple passes with different products and that is hard work. You might be better off having a qualified pro detailer who is well versed in wet sanding and deep scratch removal.
