I was using Meguiar’s water spot remover and slopped some on my fogged/hazed headlight fixture and it did wonders. So I tried it on one of my dark smoked windows with seven years of water spots and it did wonders. So I read the instructions out of curiosity and sure enough, it ain't just for paint. Looking at the label it does say “multi-surface”…

Not real clear but note the difference right to left:

Yes I should have a de-ionizer or whatever it is and maybe I’ll learn about it and invest in a home system, but for now….Meguiar’s. It takes bit of elbow grease so its going to be a long process, but over the next few weeks I’ll get all the chrome, plastic, glass, and of course paint that needs it. Then polish out some minor scratches with the 3M “Perfect it” system, and maybe I’ll pay someone to hand wax the thing this time.

I just finished washing my rig today. Being a full timer can't carry a deionizer. The water at this campground in Pueblo West CO is undrinkable and extremely hard. Using distilled water as a rinse after using the campground water to rinse the soap etc worked. Ended up using just under 8 gallons of $1.35/gallon distilled water. Used a 1 gallon home and garden sprayer to apply it
