Hello all, I'm new at this RV chat. I've had years of experience transporting horses up and down the East Coast. I think a driving unit should suit me but still debating length. I like the independence of solar/lithium and would appreciate any feedback on the units that have better reputations for dependability and comfort. Looking at a slightly used Boldt this weekend . I've tried several times to rent through the various online sites thinking that would give me a good feel for what to expect with a short trip but haven't had any luck... really expensive and/or unreliable. Just came back from 3 days ( car ) camping on Assateague Island which I highly recommend. One of the campers recommended I sign up so here I am. Thoughts on the Boldt or any other cozy dependable driving unit are much appreciated

Welcome from Georgia! Sorry I can't help with the Boldt but wanted to welcome you anyway.

Picking an rv is a struggle of compromise:

Quality
Space
Budget

Pick any 2.

I personally cannot stand a wet bath. That rules out class b for me. After having a class A coach with large bathroom and full size shower, on a 5th Wheel would compare.

Others are fine with wet bath, and that makes the class B very attractive. It is very versatile and very popular

Thanks for the input. I have to agree about the wet bath. It doesn't appeal to me. A couple B+'s have a separate shower. I do appreciate quality and would spend the extra $ to be in a better unit. I'm hearing the views on the economy and the RV market as well and am happy to wait for something lightly used but well kept.
All good stuff !
