I was in Walmart the other day and ran across this stuff. Has anyone tried it or is anyone using it?

My DEF gauge is beginning to get a little squirrelly. I’m wondering if this might help.

The gauge has nothing to do with quality of def, so no it won’t help.

If you have heavy crystallized then the fix it is to fill with fresh and let it remain full for a couple of days.

I tend to keep mine at the 20-50% range and after 5 years no crystallization

Wasn't there talk of rinsing the tank with distilled water? I'm not sure the process of cleaning it, but yeah, fresh DEF but if it's topped off already then what? I wish they made it easier to drain them so you can go completely new if needed. I've been sitting in storage so long I'd really like to replace all with new.

I have one of these transfer pumps from Amazon that I use for pumping gas out of gas cans into my utv. I don't know for sure but would think it could pump Def. Don't have a diesel so not sure how to dispose of it after removing it.

Here's what Dr. Google says about disposing of DEF...

To safely dispose of old or expired Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), you can dilute it heavily with water and use it as a lawn fertilizer, pour it down a household drain connected to a municipal sewer system, or take it to a local waste collection center. Because DEF is a non-hazardous substance comprised entirely of water and agricultural-grade urea, it is not regulated by the EPA as a hazardous waste.

No, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is generally not considered toxic or hazardous to the environment. Because it is made of just 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water, it is non-toxic, non-flammable, and biodegradable

I have an old water pump, seems it would do the trick. Good ideas.
