Question Rubber bumpers for Blue Ox base plate

The Blue Ox base plate on the Flex has exposed metal protruding from the front bumper. My thought is to design a "bumper' to insert into the tow bar attachment points to protect them from debris and damage should they impact something.


The design should be simple enough, affixing them to be easily installed, secure and remove is the challenge. Something that would replace the protectors and add 2" or so of additional cushion.


Thoughts would be helpful.

If you knew someone with a 3d printer that could duplicate the twist lock pieces that were shortened would work.
