Maybe the jacked up prices since covid scare and the poor quality of the units and the nonexistant service for all the issues...might just be contributing to poor sales
I was looking at trailers around 2018 and they were built very cheaply with measuring and cutting by the blind offspring of ray charles. Or ronnie milsap, depending upon your musical tastes.
I also got an alum topper for one of my trucks about the same time and had to send it back to the factory three times as standing in back with the doors open, you could see daylight through it in some spots. In one spot they were having trouble anchoring the skin down as there were about 4 screws w/in about 1.5inchs....and you could still see daylight underneath that clump of screws.
So manufacturing in the usa was tanking, quality wise, before the wuhan virus hit. I think what the release of that virus did most, consumer wise, is to skyrocket retail pricing.
an rv consumer advocate channel on yt says to not buy anything after 2018 IIRC but from a very few, small, independent manufacturers....nothing out of indiana. I'd have to agree with that.
Vehicles also got worse and skyrocketed in price.
But the problem is....people still keep buying. If people are continuing to buy these new, defective junk units, why should pricing go down? They can overcharge, cut corners/do fraud, then not have to foot the bill to fix any of their defects after purchase. Sounds like a win-win for the manufacturers and dealerships....be it autos or RVs.
People financing these are also a big problem as many are upside down, so in order to move on/up, they have to get new to get the financing...so they go further upside down. I truly don't see how that can rectify itself. People seem to be resigned, sometimes even gleeful, of getting futher and further in debt.
