The older generation Baby Boomers, who really fueled the growth of the RV industry, are a smaller market today and older, who are getting out of the lifestyle due to health, age, and affordability on retirement incomes.

a consolidation of dealerships into mega dealers like Camp World, Blue Compass, and General RV, among the largest, controlling the sales narrative.
Yeah, there's a reason why those 140K rv vans usually have an aged boomer or couple in them. They have the money/credit but not the desire to drive a bus or even a short bus.
"Hey fran, where's your hubby frank at?"
"Oh, he died between amarillo and dallas"

Health and fragility reasons too. I'm a boomer but still very physically active, every day doing things and I think, OK, should I sell the house and get a nice(er) RV and just hit the road full time? Then I think, OK, in 7 yrs I'll be xx yrs old....and not have a home but on wheels. Do I want to be a transient and have to deal with a health issue? It's one thing at 30, or even 50, but once a person passes the big 6-0, then that's a consideration for many.

So....there should be some good used RVs coming back on the market in ever increasing numbers...... :-D

I know I'm a small fish in this pond but my unit sat on the dealers lot from July of '25 until Feb of this year before they entertained my lowball offers. They tried to push me towards a '26 model at full price but I walked until they called and wanted to deal on the last years model
New units are not selling like they use too.
