Hello All,

Getting in the mood for camping 2025.

We been shopping around for RV insurance for our motorhome.

Got a great quote from Miller Insurance Agency in OR. We are in PA. So, wondering if anyone else has them for their RV insurance and if so, what experiences do you have using them for your RV Insurance agency? Good, any problems with claims, or otherwise?

Thanks!

Progressive has quite good pricing.
Other than that, unless you have a great need for an agency to handle your insurance needs, go direct and eliminate the middleman that always gets a commission!

For 40+ years I eliminated the middleman and went direct. I priced out Progressive and got a cost. Just for the heck of it, I asked a broker to price out insurance with a few different companies. They came back with Progressive being cheaper and their quote was about $500 less than the one I got from Progressive directly. Why? No idea.

I went with the broker and haven't even thought of looking myself anymore. And yes, it was the exact same coverage. I have no idea how insurance companies price their product after this.

Call Austin, he saved me $2,500 a year on my London Aire.

Yeah, Progressive has good pricing when they sucker you in. We got switched over to them when they gave us a rate of $662. Since then they raised our rate to $1204! I tried reasoning with Progressive to get a better lower rate and they wouldn’t budge. So, I shopped around and this other agency came back with a rate of $557, and guess with who? Progressive! So, they are good for a low rate when they get you to sign up with them, but they will rock you then after being with them. I am completely done with Progressive and will NEVER use them again.

Just a FYI..... not all insurance companies are the same. Check which ever company you choose how their reputation is for paying out on claims. An internet search on their policy and will to pay for damages goes a long way.

Do you know if you get in a bad accident with lets say a very expensive motorhome, the insurance company DOES NOT HAVE TO PAY THE QUOTE DELIVERED. They could have their adjusters look for a cheaper repair shop, down play the cost and try to screw you in the end. YES I am talking from experience. They can even REUSE to pay anything.

I have had extensive dealings with National General Insurance, they are a subsidiary owned by Allstate. They were the WORST Insurance Company I have ever dealt with. Even All State Insurance for home and auto will fight you tooth and nail to not pay out. Or pay out as little as possible.

I have been there done that, got the T shirt. After months of fighting with the insurance company I said I was going to sue them for bad faith, and I obtained legal council. They settled two days later.

Beware....... You know the cost of these motorhomes, your worst nightmare could be a serious accident and not getting your motorhome repaired.

My entire career was dealing with insurance companies. I was in the collision repair business. Sadly, Allstate's reputation in Canada was similar.
