Being rather new to having an RV, I have a question. All the stickers that come on RVs, how do you get them off? Are certain stickers important to keep on? My husband thinks they should all stay, for when you may sell. Thank you for any help!

A heat gun (or hair dryer) can help remove adhesive items.

3M makes a product specifically to remove vinyl decals.... a magic eraser so to speak.

Leave the stickers intact! Well, at least until you are completely familiar with your rig.

Not that they won't weather poorly, because they do. But yes, your rig in any transfer of ownership would be more valuable, in the eyes of potential buyers. And it may make selling easier.

Be careful removing any that have your vin number. Also be careful removing any that are on paint.

Heat is good. Also a steamer is excellent for this.

Don’t just try to peal them off like I did. One of them separated the wrap or film off the trailer wall and left permanent wrinkles.

Had to do over, I’d just cover it with a different sticker.

My previous 1997 mold and chain smokers project RV had a map of the entire United States plastered to the fiberglass back, and I thought every state that they had been to (before they died of cancer) was going to be a new challenge. I had already removed the front seats and every piece of furniture, and anything that didn't survive the 1800 pound steam cleaner wasn't going back in. Well, everything survived, looked and smelled brand new, and we sold that RV for a few bucks more than we paid for it. Anyway, long story short . . . oh too late. That steam cleaner took that huge bunch of stickers completely off and you couldn't tell it was ever there.
