Has anyone added a rubber weather seal around the entry door?

There seems to be a lot of cold air around the door in the winter. I just did this. It makes the door tighter against the frame and requires more of a tug on the handle from the outside. I am hoping it does not cause damage to the opening mechanism, latch etc.

Any feedback?
