Thanks. I did confuse the two. Makes sense. We must realize we have "holding tanks" not septic tanks. The best treatment I've found in the last 15+ years is water. It is an individual choice whether to spend money on enzymes, perfumed chemicals, etc but realize, its a holding tank not a septic tank.
I am inclined to agree with you. I did not know about Cascade or Dawn. Thanks for that tip as always.Sign me up in the don't use anything category. I believe treatments such as happy camper are gimmicks, IMHO. The only thing I put in my tanks, both black and gray, are dish soap and cascade at varying times as a cleaning agent. I will put maybe 25% water in the tanks, add a cleaning agent, drive to the next campground and dump.
I think Neal meant to say Calgon Water Softener rather than Cascade. Calgon is getting harder for me to find so I use Borax as a substitute.I am inclined to agree with you. I did not know about Cascade or Dawn. Thanks for that tip as always.
Nope. Cascade for cleaning the tanks. If it can clean food yuck in a dishwasher it should be able to do some cleaning in a gray tank, and why not the black too?I think Neal meant to say Calgon Water Softener rather than Cascade. Calgon is getting harder for me to find so I use Borax as a substitute.
