Shore Power Fail

Hi everyone. We have a 2019 Anthem, 44f. I plugged i to shore power last night on arrival, all good for about 3 hours then it shut down. Power at pedestal is good, surge protector reading correct, no love. I turned on the genny and everything was good overnight on the gen but heading out today. I will plug into shore on arrival today, if no power coming in what is the issue? Firefly shows "shore" but no actual power coming in. Start gen, Firefly shows power from gen and no issues.

Thanks Neal. Breaker panel good. We are operating with no issues when running on Genset. Seems the switch to shore is not switching but strangely it was fine for a few hours last evening before going out, so fired up the gen to at least get some rest with A/Cs. Maybe it's the pedestal but strange it was fine for 3 hours. I have a surge protector in place. When we stop tonight I'll plug in to shore and with a little luck it will be a bingo.

Do you have a power transfer relay switch? If so, you could try a bypass. Unplug from the pedestal and shut down the gen. Disconnect the shore pwr. at the relay, disconnect the lead from the relay to the distribution panel and connect the shore pwr to the lead from the dist. panel. Plug in to the pedestal, if you have power now it’s the power transfer relay.

Disconnect the shore pwr. at the relay, disconnect the lead from the relay to the distribution panel and connect the shore pwr to the lead from the dist. panel. I agree with the diagnostic test but the one thing throwing me off is the house ran fine on shore for 3 hours after landing and plugging in before the issue arose..... ? So, fired up the gen, no issue. Is it crazy to think it switched off at the relay switch under load after engaging for 3 hours?

You‘re only bypassing the transfer switch. The generator needs to be off, but otherwise is not involved. Unplug from the pedestal, then disconnect the shore power in the transfer relay and the lead from the relay sw. to the dist. panel and splice them together. Plug shore pwr. back into the pedestal, if you have power to the RV, the problem was in the power transfer relay.

Thank you for your time today, HMB. I Plugged into shore on arrival at our destination today and the unit/rig switched on perfectly, normal snapping sound for engaging and no issues. I ordered a new automatic switching control box to keep on board as we continue into Canada. Hopefully I carry it around for 10 years and never need it but now I will have it, just in case. I think it was an over heat issue in the bay with the control switch box.
