Take this with a grain of salt as I have never had one, but I would never consider a single axle trailer for that exact concern. In the event of a blowout which does happen more frequently on trailers, that trailer is going to be mich harder to keep tracking behind you. It’s unlikely that it will actually pull you in the tow vehicle off course as single axle trailers are generally pretty light and well within the towing capabilities of most half-ton trucks, but a swaying trailer behind you poses a danger to innocent motorists.
consider this with the additional facts that blowouts tend to happen more frequently on trailers because the tires are usually lower quality, then make that problem a little worse by considering that single axle trailers are often at the bottom of the modem line and as such, get the lowest quality tires in order to keep the cost of the unit down. Then consider all of the other sacrifices made like brakes and such.
