We don't have our motorhome RV just yet, but we are doing a lot of research to understand our options in relation to our wants/needs.

Question; Some RVs have the stove and kitchen sink on a slide, and some don't. Does having them on a slide create any sort of supply (water/propane) or drainage (sink) problem over time? Is a stove or sink more likely to develop problems if it is on a slide?

Not necessarily more likely but the potential for it I think is increased as you have have plumping and pipes moving in and out as opposed to stationary. My biggest concern, and I'm glad mine isn't that way, is the weight on the slide. I remove everything heavy from slides before activating, except for cabinets and such.

Years ago I had a 5th wheel with the kitchen on the slide. Flexible tubing for the drain is no problem. For the gas they used a long flexible gas hose with a big loop so the movement was across a longer distance for less stress. I didn’t see a problem there either.

Moving your slide periodically is less wear and tear than the vibrations and jarring driving down the road.

WE have a 2007 Encore 40TS with the sink and stove in the kitchen slide. We have had no issues at all with the water, drains or gas lines. The weight by having the sink in the slide is less than the weight of the countertop that would be there. We just have a gas flat top so no weight there either the heaviest items in that slide are the love seat and convection microwave none of which have been an issue. Hope this helps.

The full wall slide on our coach has about everything in it, including the kitchen. No issues with any of the drains or supply lines. I still hold my breath when extending and retracting it just because of the weight.
