So, so many folks have left my community for the summer. One group went to Alaska. Two that are close friends are on the way back and stopped last night at a KOA in St Louis. My friend was out walking his dogs when our other neighbors looked up and saw them. Neither had any idea they would be there. The group of us always socialize weekly when here. Both happened to be staying for one night. What are the odds, such a small world

You never know….

We met a young couple in St John’s Pass, FL that it turned out their grandfather lived over the hill from the house I grew up in - only 40 houses in the neighborhood.

While at the Sturgis rally we were in one of the busses that run from the campgrounds to the towns - were between 6 and 800k people there that year. Long story short my wife ended up sitting next to someone she graduated high school with.

I was in Europe in the 70's and stopped one night at the intersection of a rural country road manned by a couple of MP's. As we were talking the converstion got around to prior duty stations. He said he'd been at Ft. Benning for years and started talking about the good looking blond he'd met there. I said my HS girlfriends dad was special forces and they'd moved to Georgia and Ft. Benning after which I'd lost lost touch with her. When I mentioned her name, it was the same person.

When leaving on a trip back in April I stopped in Heflin AL at an RV dealer to pick up a valve for the toilet. A guy ask if that was my rig and we talked, he grew up in the area I live ( Paulding County GA) and had recently moved to the Heflin area.
While in Monument Valley I saw a Paulding tag and when I saw the man out of course I started a conversation. We talked about this small world and often meeting people from close to home.
I started talking about meeting the man at the RV dealer back in Heflin and he stops me, I’ve heard this story before. You met Louis, he calls him they are friends and had been to a Gulf Shores after the stop at the RV shop. Louis headed home and he headed west. He lives less than 10 miles from me. I cracked up when he called Louis. 😂
