How do I determine if I have a “smart” converter so I can use a lithium iron phosphate battery

Do you know mfg and model number of what you have?

I just went through this. Your best bet is to look at your converter and find the model number. After you have that you can look the part up on the companies website and see all of the converters features. Also, manufacturers are really nice giving you information on new rigs. Are you going with pre-built batteries or make your own?
