Yes
I acquired a soft starter earlier this week.

Yup I don't really need it, but I discovered a problem I thought I would share.

No matter how I tried to search this forum I got (0) results on the topic. Seemed strange to me because I was involved in some of those topics.

This post is a test, but also a offer for posable solutions for the evidently illiterate, or unsavy users like myself.

Maybe @Neal can give some suggestions on this subject, but this is my thoughts.

Will starting a title with the subject when posting a new thread offer better searches? Well that I will find out, because that is why I posted this.

I was looking for the name of the unit that is so highly recommended here. Yes I found that name, but I didn't have the time to do a manual search at the time!

Something is broken, rebuilding search index now. I'll report when done.

This is the brand that should be used:

There are several versions of the micro-air, with features including bluetooth, etc. I personally don't need the bluetooth, as this is a passive device that should just work.

There are several other heavily marketed brands, but all are inferior. This is the only one that actually works and is the original design.

How do you know?
I have personally tried them and documented the results. I have researched the origins and found that one is a patented design and the others are just rip offs that don’t actually help, and in my tests actually caused more load.

How do you know?
Because public opinion is the largest part of marketing?

Get that, and your eyes will be fully opened about alot of things.

I don't care about soft starts. I was introduced to a BIN store in Phoenix, and there lyed a softstart in a bin. I bought the thing and was going to see if it was worth offering up! I also found a 100|50 that I picked up at bargain prices. I will use that in a coming project.

Anyhow I posted because the search was broken and now @Neal has fixed it! Time to mark it solved! Thanks @Neal
